At every moment of a class, the Signaller sends the right signal to the right person — and people decide what to do with it.
Before the class
The studio screen shows your brand. The instructor opens today’s programme on the tablet and sees who is coming in with context: two newcomers, one back after three weeks, one on her 50th class. Members who track heart rate put on a strap or scan the QR code once.
Signals: coach — the brief; client — check-in, “anything for today?”
During the class
The programme runs: the exercise, its video, the cue — “springs: 1 red, breathe in for 5” — and the time left, with the next exercise previewed in the transition. The instructor walks the room and uses the tablet to pause, add 30 seconds or move on. With straps, a small mark on someone’s tile and one plain line on the tablet show who needs attention.
Signals: client — their line, their zone, the time; coach — who needs attention.
After the class
The class is saved without anyone pressing “save”: the programme, who came and — with straps — heart rate second by second. Members see their own history; the instructor sees a short note only where something stood out.
Signals: client — “how was it: fine, hard, it hurt?”; coach — a short note where something stood out.
Over weeks
Each member’s history builds up: how often they come and, with straps, how their recovery improves. The studio sees who has stopped coming while there is still time to reach out.
Signals: owner — who is drifting away; coach — whose recovery or level has changed.
Who sees what
Typical studio set-ups
- A laptop with videos and a phone timer
- Or a heart-rate screen with rank, points and calories on every tile
- A podium and a monthly leaderboard
- The vendor’s logo
Round Connect
- The exercise, its video, the cue and the time
- The next move, previewed in the transition
- With straps: zone colour and % of personal maximum, a small mark for the coach
- Your studio’s brand
Under the hood
- Demo videos come from your Vimeo and play in sync with the class clock.
- Heart rate (optional) from standard chest straps through the computer behind the studio screen, or from a member’s phone. The screen shows only a fraction of it. Second-by-second data is kept for 90 days; after that, paid plans keep one point per 15 seconds and the free plan keeps the class summary. Class summaries are kept for good on every plan.
- Maximum heart rate refines itself from real classes instead of trusting “220 minus age”.
- If the server restarts mid-class, the class carries on where it was.
