Platform

Round Connect is the platform under every studio product: one core — library and programmes, class screen and timer, instructor tablet, member app, console, devices — and a product for each kind of studio on top.

Round Connect is the universal layer. One core — the exercise library and programmes, the class screen and timer, the instructor’s tablet, the member app, the studio console and devices — and on top of it, a product for each kind of studio: Reformer for reformer Pilates, Cycle for indoor cycling, Combat for boxing and martial arts, Functional for functional training and HIIT, Flow for mat Pilates, yoga and barre, Rowing for indoor rowing and Race for fitness races. What they solve for a studio →

Why this shape: a single product cannot serve a reformer room and a cycling room equally well. What every studio shares lives in the core and gets better for everyone; what is specific to a format lives in its product.

At the centre

Signaller: signals, not decisions

At the centre of Round Connect is the Signaller. It is whatever delivers the right signal to the right person — an app, a device on the reformer or bike, or both. It works from the data it receives: what clients told the studio, who is in the room, heart rate and power, “hard” and “it hurt”. It never decides for anyone.

In each product it takes the form that fits the room: a light and a “this hurts” button on the reformer in Reformer; a personal range on every bike’s tile and a vibration on the instructor’s watch in Cycle; the round timer, sparring pairs and the coach’s watch in Combat; everyone’s own version on the station tiles in Functional; a quiet vibration one pose ahead on the teacher’s watch in Flow; a technique hint on every rower’s tile and crew mode in Rowing; a word before the ticket and at the simulation in Race. The watch signals and the devices on the machines are still in development.

Every signal says where it comes from — “the client told the studio”, “three minutes above 90%” — so the person who acts on it can judge it. The more advanced the level, the stricter the rule: AI only chooses from what has been validated.

Each part below is marked with where it stands today: In pilot works end to end with pilot studios, In development is built and being tested, Planned is on the roadmap. Products marked Pilot start with our first partner studios.

Products

Products for each kind of studio

Reformer — reformer Pilates

Client profiles, options in two or three lines, the pain rule and a safety log. Pilot

Round Connect Reformer →

Cycle — indoor cycling

Every rider in their own cadence range, signals on the instructor’s watch (in development), a card after class. Pilot

Cycle →

Combat — boxing & martial arts

Round timer and combinations on screen today; sparring clearances, head-knock protocol, pairs with warnings and recovery between rounds in the pilot. Pilot

Programmes, video and time

Programme builder In pilot

Build a class from exercises, rounds, rests and transitions, each with its own time. Save it as a template and every instructor runs it the same way.

Exercise video In pilot

Attach a video to any exercise. It plays on the studio screen in sync with the class clock; during transitions the next exercise is previewed.

Cues in large type In pilot

A short line for each exercise — springs, breathing, a combination, a focus — readable from the back of the room.

Exercise library In development

One library per apparatus — reformer, tower, chair, barrel, mat — each exercise with its demo video (Vimeo), default springs, level, side and reps. A starter classical repertoire of 30 exercises in one click. Video is added mainly as Vimeo links, with no size limit; your own video files of up to 95 MB each — by subscription.

Circuits and stations In pilot

Up to nine stations on screen at once, each with its own looping video.

Timer, sounds and remote In pilot

Sounds at every change. The instructor pauses, adds 30 seconds or skips from a tablet or phone, and the screen and video follow.

In the room

The class screen

Video, cue and time first In pilot

The exercise or round, the cue, the time left and what comes next — the screen is built around the class, not around numbers.

Heart-rate tiles — optional In pilot

With straps, one tile per person in the zone colour with % of personal maximum. Tiles keep their place; no ranks, no calories.

Between classes In pilot

Your brand and a QR code to join. No leaderboards or monthly rankings.

Illustration. Your own exercise video plays here, in sync with the class clock.

For the instructor

The tablet

Remote for the class In pilot

What is on now, time left and what comes next, with pause, +30 s and skip. Split the room into teams by colour when the format calls for it.

Before-class brief In pilot

Who is new, who is back after a break, whose 10th, 50th or 100th class it is, who has trained hard over the last three days.

Attention list — with straps In pilot

Three signals — overload, poor recovery, holding back — each as one plain line with a name. Newcomers are flagged sooner. How the signals work

Signals on the watch In development

A vibration with the bike, bag or station number when someone needs the coach — for coaches holding pads or riding on stage. Wear OS is in testing; Apple Watch follows.

After-class notes — with straps In pilot

A short line only about people where something stood out: time in overload, rests without recovery.

For members

Joining and history

Join with a QR code In pilot

Scan once, type a name, and you are in the studio’s class. On Android, a phone can also pair a Bluetooth strap or a smart bike directly.

Coming back is one tap In pilot

A phone that has joined before rejoins without the form, and each member sees their own training history.

Studio straps with a number In development

A member claims a studio strap by the number on its sticker, once. After that the computer behind the studio screen recognises them without a phone.

Member page In pilot

After each class: duration and — with straps — time at high intensity and a strip of zones.

Mobile app and watches In development

One Round Connect app that takes on the studio’s brand after a QR scan. Android and Wear OS are built and in testing; iPhone and Apple Watch follow.

Studio’s own app in the stores Planned

For studios that want their own listing, published under the studio’s own developer account.

For the studio

The console

Rooms, screens and straps In pilot

Pair a screen with a code, set up each room, assign straps to members.

Members and attendance In pilot

Visits in the last 30 days, last class, who used to come regularly and has stopped, and who has had a heavy week across classes.

Class history In pilot

Every class with its programme and attendance; with straps, a heart-rate line per person and the instructor’s summary. Export to CSV.

Brand In pilot

Logo, colours and zone boundaries. Owners and instructors have separate roles.

Body-scan results In development

Results from InBody, Tanita and similar scanners in the same member profile, with explicit consent. Manual entry and CSV import first.

Every class is saved without anyone pressing “save”: second by second for 90 days, a summary for good.

Under the hood

Devices and reliability

  • Screens: any TV with a browser or a small media box; it pairs with a code.
  • Heart rate (optional): standard ANT+ and Bluetooth chest straps, or members’ phones.
  • Receiver in the room In development: the computer behind the studio screen — or the coach’s phone on a gym floor — receives straps, bikes and rowers for the whole room. No separate hub.
  • A restart doesn’t stop the class: if the server restarts mid-class, the class resumes where it was.
  • Isolation and privacy: each studio’s data is separate; members removed from a studio are anonymised.
