Round Connect Race · for gyms that train people for fitness races In development

To the finish healthy. And still training a year later.

Fitness races have programmes, apps, watches and tickets. Round Connect Race adds a calm “not yet — and that’s fine” where it helps, and gives the person, the coach and the owner the right signal where support matters: before the ticket, during preparation, at the simulation, on race day and after it.

In the room today

An ecosystem built for more.

Official programmes, apps, race modes on watches, event platforms — each one does well when people train more and race more often. In the first international survey of Hyrox athletes (418 people, published as a medRxiv preprint), almost half reported a race-related injury in the previous year; a University of Bath study found most injuries came from overload: the same eight movements, in the same order, again and again.

A first-timer buys a solo ticket because everyone does, and then can’t change division. A coach who says “you’re not ready” risks losing a client. After the race, many people simply disappear.

How it works In development

Before the ticket

A member sets a goal: this race, this date, this division. If their readiness is far from it, the coach gets a signal before they buy — and three ways to talk about: solo later, doubles, or a relay now.

During preparation

Weekly load in the gym and — with consent — runs and sessions outside it, against what’s usual for that person. A simple “something hurts today — where?” flag — yes or no and the body area, never a score — and energy they rate themselves. A sudden jump, or weeks of low energy, is a reason to talk.

At the simulation

Signals on the coach’s watch: who is running the first kilometre as a sprint, who hasn’t recovered before the sled, whose rowing stroke has changed. Water and pauses when the room gets hot.

For the coach · in development

“Not yet” — with the data in your hands.

You don’t have to prove a feeling. The weekly screen shows each athlete’s load against their own usual, any “something hurts — where” flags, their energy and the physio’s limits. Conversations about readiness are recorded — honestly, and visible to the member — which protects them and you.

  • A signal before the ticket, not after
  • Twenty-four athletes on a simulation, one vibration when it matters
  • Any programme — official, the gym’s, or yours; we don’t write or change it

Not a refusal. A way there.

A relay or doubles is a step on the way, not a defeat. On race day: a plan for each stretch and “how are you today?” — health matters more than the ticket. After the race: a week of recovery, and a next goal from anywhere in Round Connect — a 10K, a reformer class, or a solo race when the time is right.

One goal, step by step

Liam wants to race solo in ten weeks

MomentWhat happens
The intentionLiam, three months in the gym and barely running, writes in the app: “race on 14 March, solo”.
ReadinessHis three months of data: almost no running, slow recovery between intervals, no sled yet. His coach Tyler gets a signal before Liam buys.
The conversationTyler shows three ways: solo in ten weeks — high risk; doubles with a friend — realistic; a relay with the club — confident. And solo in the spring.
The decisionLiam buys doubles with a friend from the club and sets solo as his spring goal.
The clubThe owner sees eight members chose relays and doubles — the gym goes to the race as a team.

An illustration built from typical gyms — not a real member. Divisions usually can’t be changed after buying a ticket, so the conversation comes first.

Three sides, one interest

The owner invests money and reputation; the coach invests time and responsibility; the member trusts them with their body. The hype pulls them apart — tickets sold, classes full, a finish at any price. Someone who reaches the finish healthy is a happy client, a proud coach and a gym that lasts. That is where Round Connect Race stands.

Works with what you already have

Alongside the ecosystem, not against it.

Official programmes, apps, watches and timing stay as they are. Heart-rate straps, rowers and ski ergs that broadcast their data, any watch through import with consent. Any race — Hyrox, Deka, ATHX or the next format. We take no commission on tickets, so “not yet” stays credible.
