The data is already there: the rowing monitor sends every stroke, and good apps read it. Round Connect Rowing adds what they don’t: the whole class at once, who each person is, and a signal for the instructor.
| What it does well | What its public pages don’t describe | Where Round Connect fits | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monitor apps — ErgData, Float, RowingSTEM | Rich stroke data for one rower: rate, power, length, force curve. | A group, the person’s context, signals for an instructor. | The same data for the whole class, compared with each rower’s own stroke, with signals for the instructor. |
| Rowing classes and boutiques | Formats, instructors, metres and races on screen. | Feedback on each person’s technique during class. | A technique hint on every tile; crew mode instead of a race for metres. |
| Heart-rate screens | Effort for everyone in colour zones. | Technique — the thing rowing depends on. | Stroke data first; heart rate if a rower pairs a strap to the monitor. |

In short
- Technique over metres. Feedback on the stroke, not the distance.
- Against yourself. Each stroke compared with your usual one, not an “ideal”.
- One rhythm. Crew mode, where a beginner in time is as good as the strongest rower.
- No new hardware. The monitor already sends the data.
